Privacy Policy

What we store

Your account (email, a hashed password, display name and language). If you sign in with Kick: your Kick user id, channel name and avatar, plus the OAuth tokens needed to read your channel events — stored securely on our server. Per-channel game data (viewer points, plays, wins) and any support tickets you open.

Public viewer profiles

EdiX publishes a public page — /viewer/name — for every Kick handle that takes part in a channel running EdiX. It shows the handle, which EdiX channels it is active in, and the per-channel totals those channels already keep: points, time watched and messages sent. It never shows an email address, an IP address, or the text of anything written in chat. This includes people who have never signed up for EdiX — taking part in chat on a channel that runs EdiX is what puts a handle there, and no EdiX account is involved. A streamer can keep someone out of their own channel's figures using the hidden list on their dashboard. To have a handle removed, open a support ticket or email us.

Cookies

One session cookie keeps you signed in and your language preference is remembered — these are essential and always on. A banner lets you accept or decline anonymous analytics; your choice is stored in your browser (not a tracking cookie) and can be changed any time. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Analytics

Only if you accept the cookie banner do we collect privacy-safe, anonymous usage statistics — which pages are viewed, a coarse referrer source (search, social, direct or other) and whether you're on mobile or desktop. Everything is aggregated into daily totals; we never store your IP address, personal data, or per-visitor history. Decline and we collect none of it — you can change your choice any time.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details — only the subscription id and plan status.

AI support

Support chats may be answered first by an AI assistant that runs on our own server. Your ticket text never leaves our infrastructure and is not sent to third-party AI providers.

The browser extension

The EdiX extension for Kick runs in your own browser, and what it remembers stays on your device in the browser's local storage: which features you turned on, your player and video settings, your own Kick handle, your friends and cross-ban lists, the private notes you write about chatters (up to 500 characters each), a short record of the last action it took, and — only if you switch chat statistics on — per-channel message and chatter counts, which are dropped after 30 days without activity. None of it is uploaded to us. Chat messages are read in the page and matched on your device for mention alerts, watchlist highlights and the log panel; message text is never sent to EdiX and never saved — the log lives in the tab and dies with it.

Your Kick session

Kick has no public API for VIP and OG badges, so the extension applies them the way Kick's own dashboard does — with your Kick session. It reads two kick.com cookies named session_token and XSRF-TOKEN to authorise that single request, and runs the request inside a kick.com tab, opening one in the background if none is open. Those cookies are sent only to kick.com and never to EdiX. We never see your Kick password or your Kick cookies.

What the extension sends us

Connecting the extension to your EdiX account stores a revocable pairing token for your channel — it is not a Kick credential. With it, the extension asks us for pending VIP and OG actions, reports whether each one worked (with the error text, trimmed, when it did not), sends a heartbeat so your dashboard can show it as connected, and reads your watchlist terms and quick-timeout durations. If you start a mass ban, timeout or unban, the Kick usernames you targeted are sent to us so the job can run. And to draw the live-stats panel the extension asks us whether a channel is on EdiX and opens a read-only socket for it — so while that panel is on, the channel you are watching is visible to us.

Turning the extension off

The extension does nothing on kick.com until you accept our Terms and this policy, and you can withdraw that acceptance at any time from the extension's popup — it stops immediately. Every switch can be turned back off, and turning chat statistics off deletes the statistics already collected. Removing the extension from your browser erases everything it kept on your device. Disconnecting it on your EdiX dashboard revokes the pairing token immediately, so it can no longer reach your channel.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

EdiX for Kick's collection and use of user data adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data described above is used only to provide the features you turned on. We do not sell it, we do not transfer it to anyone except where the law requires, and we never use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data. Data is disclosed only if required by law.
